Are you in recovery & looking for quality housing?

We are a nonprofit organization that provides recovery housing for people on their journey to better living.

What We Do

At Better Living Community Homes, we provide residential homes for people in recovery from addiction to drugs and/or alcohol. Our homes offer our residents a safe and comfortable environment with modern conveniences where they can focus on their personal journey to a more stable futureOur residents live in a structured environment with accountability and supportThe safety of all our residents is a top priority.

We understand that recovery encompasses more than just abstinence from drugs and alcohol. To build a stable future, you must also recover financially and socially. We are here to support your full recovery.

In our sober homes, we allow medically assisted treatment for addiction and mental health and promote an inclusive living environment. We do not allow THC for any reason.

Structure

Our residents share living spaces and the responsibilities of the home.

Community

The residents of each home form a community and live in a positive environment.

Accountability

Our homes have rules and expectations to help residents manage their journey.

Support

Showing respect and compassion for everyone’s unique journey is expected.

We are a non-profit organization and are working towards the required Ohio Recovery Housing certification.

If recovery comes first for you and you are working to reestablish yourself in life, we can provide a safe home and support for you to achieve all that and more.

We operate this home with respect and care for our residents. We celebrate and do service work together.

Our 5-bedroom home is updated and welcoming with large windows and plenty of room for everyone. Our Western Hills location provides easy access to bus routes on Glenway, Boudinot and Ferguson. We are just 3 blocks from WalMart, Kroger and SVDP. 1.5 miles and a quick bus ride to/from Dry Dock for AA/NA meetings.

Our rent is $150/week and includes all utilities, internet & computer to use, WiFi, cable TV, washer & dryer with laundry products, cleaning supplies, paper products and coffee/tea supplies. We also provide a propane grill to enjoy. Basically, you just provide your food.

Rent is due on Sunday each week. Move-in fee is based on what supplies you need when you arrive ($0-$150).  We provide new supplies at cost.  We can spread the cost over a couple of weeks, if that helps. First week’s rent is due when you move in.  Some exceptions may be granted.

You must be willing to follow house rules, create and follow a recovery plan, complete chores daily/weekly as required, take random UAs, get along well with others, treat the house with care and be respectful of different schedules (quiet hours, laundry hours, etc.). If this sounds like an environment where you would thrive, fill out our application on the APPLY tab.
